The gospel of Mathew chapter 12 mentions a prophecy given about Jesus written some 700 years before Jesus was born, it says; “He will not fight or shout or raise His voice in public. He will not crush the weakest reed, or put out a flickering candle”.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus speaking to a religious leader- Nicodemus- said; “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever will believe in Him – they will not perish, but will have eternal life” and the following verse John 3:17 says; “God did not send His Son into the world to judge it, but that through Him the world would be saved”.
Following the example of Jesus we simply set up our cross as a focal point, put on the worship music filling the surrounding atmosphere with praise and worship to our God, and went to work.
Mingling with the busy Saturday afternoon shoppers we had some wonderful conversations, people were led to Jesus in prayer, personal issues were prayed for, and most important of all we told the message of God’s love, and His ability to change lives, bring hope, bring healing, and wholeness to any life who would invite Him in. “Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and lets me in I will come in and have fellowship with him” – the handle to the door, however, is on the inside, and the door is the door to our heart.
