Event 3 Athlone

𝟏𝟐 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟖 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 were represented today as we joined under one banner – 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭.

Jesus told his disciples; “𝘽𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧.”

The greatest aspect which marked today was the sense of fellowship and unity, as we pressed into God for the community of Athlone a great sense of freedom was felt, and the joy of the Lord radiated across all our faces.

Two teams went out and were positioned at Church Street, and the Golden Island Shopping centre, as can often be the case the initial encounters were coarse. Then the Holy Spirit began to move and an openness in people was present.

One young man caught desperately in addiction, suicidal, and emotionally broken was trying to beg money for a tent which was set on fire the night before. One of our team members bought this man a tent, sleeping bag, and ground mat and with tear filled eyes he could not believe what was happening and kept asking why "would you do this?"

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 as Christians Jesus has given us the message of reconciliation to God – this young man was prayed with and spoke of feeling a sense of peace fill his heart, he encountered the Holy Spirit.

Several people were led to the Lord in prayer, and many others touched by the truth of God’s Word, divine encounters were present, as some exclaimed “𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮”. The wisdom in Gods Word is so amazing and so full of wisdom for life, and under the anointing of God’s Holy Spirit some of this wisdom was related to people, some of the responses went like this; “𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚”, 𝙤𝙧 “𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙩” – The Bible being God’s Word, is words of life, words of truth, words of healing, and words of power able to change your life!
